good tv shows?

I watch all tv shows on my computer, since I don't have a tv, so I rarely see commercials for other shows. What new shows are out there? I like watching one or two shows a night when I'm home, and need more than the CW's 90210/Melrose knockoffs (although I kind of love the new Melrose in a weird way, if only Riley would jump ship).

help!

There are a few people in my life that I've known for a long time and care about a lot but who aren't part of any of my friend circles and who I don't see often. When we visit we usually a) have coffee or b) have lunch/dinner. We spend the whole time "catching up" on what's new since we last hung out and then that's it. It's kind of boring! how can I make these relationships more interesting?

What. The. Fuck. I am one of those motherfuckers who loves to smoke the flavoured tobacco, and it might be banned here too.

I get the reasoning, don't want to market to teenagers, but is there some place behind a thick curtain and smoked glass where I can say a password, show ID, and be allowed to make my poor decisions about the goddamn flavoured tobacco?

So, I am not willing to spend a lot of money on my car. I don't see it as something I want to work more than five days a month to maintain, and already it's costing me a lot more than that. I know I chickened out on the oil change, but that was more because I was using my aggro step-dad's driveway and though he is a truck mechanic, he doesn't even change his own oil. Also, it is dudes like him that have me in the position I am in today: knowing SFA about car maintenance but...

I been baking, but not as much as I want to. I used to bake every day, but only using a few recipes. Do you have recommendations for more? Recommendations from people I might know mean so much more than browsing Epicurious.

I don't necessarily need recipes, but just ideas based on the ingredients I have:
fresh chestnuts
canned cherries
very firm sort of smoky strawberry jam
saskatoons
chana flour
corn flour
rye flour
sugar pumpkin

It's interesting how much less miserable it is to be sick when the rest of my life kind of sucks. It's like the only form of vacation available to me. I love me some H1N1 hygiene precautions that actually make not going into work a guilt-free, no-questions-asked experience, as it should be. They even waived the doctor's note for all absences with flu-like symptoms and the union won't let me work from home.

I have a date with CSI: Living Room.

i know a thorough internet search would turn up some charities for transwomen who are victims of hate crimes, but i looked really quick and couldn't find any. despite the slowness of the board lately, you guys are always a good resource for this kind of thing.

does any one have any connections to any or know of any at all? i would like my school's queer group to donate funds from one of our fundraisers.

depression/anxiety meds

My doctor put me on trazodone two weeks ago, a non-SSRI anti-depressant, to replace a temporary fix of Adivan that I was using to sleep. I only took the Adivan three times to go to sleep and it was awful, I felt like I was so drugged I was going to pee the bed. It didn't deal with any of my other symptoms, just held me down for 6 hours so my heart could rest, then I woke up and it was all the same shit.
