It's the fourth anniversary of the federal levee failure in New Orleans, and I feel like I'm not hit as hard as I was last year, though it always is a
rough anniversary, maybe because it's been pretty present for me, even thousands of miles away, because the people I'm around seem to not be forgetting
it happened, and I've been talking about it a bit. Also, I've really been focusing lately on how the various trauma I've gone through in my life
has affected me, and healing from that, and Hurricane Katrina is part of that.
I feel a lot of need to talk about it today, and so far that mainly looks like talking about connections between environmental justice and anti-capitalism and anti-racism, but I hope that I can open up to people about how I'm personally still affected by what happened. I'm also hoping to check in with other people who were or are affected by Hurricane Katrina.
